God works in mysterious ways

So this is my first blog and what happened to me at lunch today, is the reason for this being my first blog. And many of you know...I'm not a regular church goer anymore...

I was at Toys R Us in the Star Wars section looking for some toys for the boys when I hear this little voice saying, "Excuse me, excuse me." So I figured this person was talking to me so I turned around and saw this little tiny grandmaish woman standing there with a helpless look on her face. I walked over to her and said, "Can I help you find something?" She then started looking at her watch and saying to me (in an accent that I can't put a finger on) that her friends were supposed to meet her here at 11am, that they never showed up, and that she needed to get to Elder Beermans (across the street) by 1pm so her husband could pick her up. I asked her if she needed a phone to call her friends and she pulled out her cell phone and said they didn't answer and she couldn't call her husband b/c "he was at appointment". So as any person would do in today's society, I of course, had a little funny feeling about what was going on. The lady then asked me, "Would you be able to take me over to Beermans?" And still, my funny feeling was there, but I said yes I could take her over. She then got this cute little look on her face and said, "Bless you. I've asked several people and everyone said no. I wasn't sure what to do. Please go shop and I will stand right here and wait for you." So I said okay and walked over the Wii section to find what I came for. The whole time I was waiting in line to ask for a game, I could see her just standing there and part of me just wanted to run away and hide in the store. But something was telling me that I needed to help out this lady. So I never got my games b/c they were not in stock and then I went back to the lady and told her I was ready. She walked really slow and my car was far away so I told her to wait at the curb and I would come around to get her. Again, part of me wanted to just drive off, but then what kind of person would I be leaving an elderly woman in the cold with no one to help her. I got out of the car, got her in my car, made sure her seatbelt was on and drove her across the street to Beermans. I started making conversation with her to help calm my nervousness as to what I was doing and she asked for my name. I told her Kary and she responded, "No it should be Angel, you really are an angel for doing this for me". I almost wanted to laugh, but just smiled at her and said thank you. I asked for her name and she responded in her accent "Maria". At that moment, all I could think about was my grandma's favorite church song, "Ave Maria" and how this must be God testing out my faith.
I did get her to Beermans (both of us were safe and sound) and as she got out of the car again she said, "Bless you Kary, you are an angel." I smiled again and said thank you and I watched her walk into Beermans.
So here's my question...what would you have done in that situation?

Addition...someone sent me this passage: "Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:1-2
Now I believe that woman was an angel.

I would have done the same thing and then Dalan would have yelled at me! It's scary though - because, you read all the emails about scams and using the elderly and children as bait...but, I have a pretty strong belief in Karma and I think you were right to give her a ride :)
